Name, surname and job title
Federico D'Amico, software developer
What do you do in Taiprora and what are the projects you are currently working on?
I mainly deal with the development of vision algorithms for quality control in the automotive sector and with the management of controls in the database. I am currently engaged in the analysis and development of vision controls for new Smart Benches that have been commissioned to us. I also have front-end development skills in javascript (AngularJS).
What do you like most about your job?
The best part of my job is to see concretely what it develops for, how the machinery evolves to meet the needs of clients but above all, the greatest gratification is seeing one's own work and that of colleagues in the team, being repaid with a tangible result of what you gave your best for in the previous days.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out in your role?
My advice is to collaborate a lot with colleagues so as to always have food for thought for the adequate resolution of a problem and not to stop at the first obstacles but always to study a way to deal with them and get to the goal.
What are the qualities to be successful in this job?
The ability to get involved and coldness in dealing with problems are certainly two of the necessary qualities, in addition to the desire to always absorb new notions from what surrounds us, in order to then be ready to overcome all the obstacles that can be encountered in this work.
