Name, surname and job title
Daniel Marinucci, Senior Software Analyst & Developer, IT Project Manager
What do you do in Taiprora and what are the projects you are currently working on?
I come from a scientific/IT background and from a work experience on software analysis and development activities.
For about 3 years I have also been involved in Project Management, thus trying to make the technical aspect coexist with the managerial one.
I like to consider myself a PM who keeps his gaze and feet on the "field".
Currently I follow multiple project as Project Manager for corporates in automotive and chemicals sectors, in particular on a project for the management of suppliers and access control; at the same time I follow the other clients as an analyst/developer on web applications or as production support.
What do you like most about your job?
I decided to become a computer scientist because I've always had a passion for science, technology and software.
Over the years, however, I began to appreciate the direct relationship with people more and more and to understand how much one can grow through daily confrontation with them.
To answer this question, I would like to underline two aspects in particular: the first is the possibility, which this job gives me, of being able to "lead" a team of younger guys, listen to their needs, give them advice, bring out their their quality; the second concerns the relationship with clients, the daily dialogue with them, who I consider to belong to the work team, and, finally, the satisfaction I feel when the customer appreciates the tool that is provided to him and that really helps him to improve/ optimize your work.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out in your role?
Continuously seek new stimuli, new challenges and new goals. Have self-confidence and strive to have it especially in the people who make up your team. Don't get too excited when you get results, and don't get downcast when you make mistakes.
In this job, but not only in this one, it happens or will happen to have ups and downs.
My advice is to keep the same determination in both cases and try to "learn the lesson" from all situations.
What are the qualities to be successful in this job?
Passion, commitment, humility, desire to learn and predisposition to teamwork.
